Biography

Attorney Jill Schuh has practiced law in the areas of family law, probate, real estate transactions, and civil litigation since 2007. Jill’s commitment to family law is based on her own experiences and her belief that, whenever possible, clients and their families need proper guidance during the transitions that take place during a divorce or other breakup. She has been a member of the Canakaris Family Law Inn of Court in Pinellas County since 2019.

Jill grew up in Naples, Florida and is a proud graduate of Florida’s public school system, including Florida State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 1989 and her Master of Science degree in Applied Political Science in 1989. A second-career lawyer, Jill attended Stetson University’s College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, where she graduated cum laude in 2006 while working full time as a research/legal assistant managing discovery and supporting a team of attorneys and experts in multiple complex lawsuits filed in federal courts across the country. Jill is also admitted to practice law in all three of Florida’s federal U.S. District Courts.

Prior to practicing law, Jill worked in marketing and fundraising and developed community-based programs for non-profit organizations in both Florida and New Jersey. Additionally, while working on her Master’s degree at FSU, Jill worked for a year with the Florida House of Representatives’ Committee on K-12 Education as a staff analyst, and worked as a legislative liaison for two years at FSU’s Center For Policy Studies in Education. Jill has made the Tampa Bay area her home since 2001. She and her husband love to cook, travel and fish, as well as spoiling their two dachshunds and seven grandchildren.
