that a hotel may claim a lien against any property of a guest who does not pay for the services and goods they received? In other words, a hotel may hold a guest’s property and, if necessary, sell it to receive payment for money owed. In some states however, there is a constitutional notice requirement and a hearing that must be held before the sale of the property may be effectuated.
